Project details & credits ↓THE BRIEF
Kingdom of Something partnered with Mimic Productions to develop Willow for a Samsung commercial. The brief combined the charm of a rabbit with relatable human expressions and gestures.
The work followed the creative partner’s direction, from research into the character’s movement through to the rendered campaign shots.
CHARACTER & PERFORMANCE
The team developed the 3D character, fur and wardrobe, refining the body groom, whiskers and jacket collar. Ear shading and material work helped the character respond naturally to light.
Keyframe animation balanced animal traits with human emotion. Rig refinements supported the jacket and limbs, while animation reviews refined ear movement, lip sync, arm arcs and gesture timing.
LOOK DEVELOPMENT & DELIVERY
Lighting tests, material development and rendering reviews kept Willow consistent across camera angles and environments. Feedback from Kingdom of Something informed the final polish.
Mimic Productions supported the rendering pipeline with 4K updates and shot fixes, including the character’s interactions with the phone and envelopes.
